Munir Nabi Khan an illustrious scientist, pharmacist, and academician is the great grandson of Maseeh-ul-Mulk Hakeem Ajmal Khan. He is Director of Dawakhana Hakim Ajmal Khan (Pvt) Ltd. Born with innate curiosity and a passion for medicinal knowledge, he completed his B. Pharmacy from University of Punjab in Lahore.

With a thirst for scientific inquiry and support of his father Hakeem Mohammed Nabi Khan Jamal Sweda, he completed his Msc in Chemistry from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom, where he honed his skills and laid foundation for his future endeavours. Building upon this success, he further pursued an MPhil from Glasgow University, expanding his expertise and consolidating  his position as a distinguished scholar. He researched the action of Chlorotrimethylsilane and Zinc on some steroid ketones and an approach to the synthesis of Anthracyclines.

As the Director of Dawakhana Hakim Ajmal Khan (Pvt) Ltd., he recognised the critical need for ensuring the safety and efficacy of Unani medicines. He spearheaded initiatives focused on developing effective remedies and promoting wellness through Tiibb-e-Unani. His dedication and pioneering efforts have significantly enhanced the quality control and standardisation of Unani medicine.

Recognising his expertise and invaluable insights, Munir Nabi Khan served as the elected President of the National Council for Tibb, a position that allowed him to shape healthcare policies and promote the integration of traditional medicine into the national healthcare framework. His advisory role as trusted health advisor to the Prime Minister exemplifies the immerse respect he commands within the healthcare community.

Beyond his scientific research and professional engagements, Munir Nabi Khan has dedicated his time to educating future generations. His passion for sharing knowledge has led him to deliver lectures at prestigious Pharmacy Institutes, instilling a sense of enthusiasm and curiosity among aspiring pharmacists. His role as external examiner of various universities exemplifies his commitment to maintaining high academic standards and fostering excellence within pharmaceutical filed.

Recently he wrote a book on Medicinal Plants. By delving into the ancient wisdom surrounding medicinal plants and combining it with modern research and biological insights, it offers a comprehensive understanding of the diverse therapeutic properties of these remarkable botanical resources. The book serves a bridge, allowing readers to appreciate the rich tapestry of traditional and scientific properties of medicinal plants.
